Carefully prise off the handle first, the lower piece pulls off toward you and the upper piece (with the window switches) pulls off upward.

Then there are two screws holding the panel to the door. There are no screws holding the upper handle and locking buttons, but there is an electrical connector behind it. You will also need to unscrew the door pins if you have a pre-facelift car.

Once all this is off go around the bottom of the panel and carefully prise it off the door, there are a few plastic clips holding it on - it may help if you have a trim remover but I`ve never used one!

And once all the clips are off you will need to give the panel a good smack upwards to release the top part where it meets the window... and be aware there are a couple of connectors for speakers and stuff to remove before you yank the panel away from the car!

Ah, well in that case just pull it!

Have`nt done them myself but I`m told it`s just a few plastic rivet type things, and a sticky pad.

Are you planning to paint them?

EDIT: Removed pics from above post.

no , removing so i can spray the whole door... my car is the dreaded ovni yellow and its also been keyed all round :p so doing a full respray

Right, gutted mate! I believe the trims are nigh on impossible to get off without breaking them so it may be worth you ordering new ones ready?

The BAD news - As already stated - yep you will probably destroy them getting them off - no rivets, just strong sticky pad holding them.

The GOOD news - the full set of 4 is only £22 from SERE motors

This is probably one of the the smallest expenses of the respray

More GOOD news - you can now spray the new ones the same colour as the car before they go on.

Hello all,

I'm really sorry about the massive thread revival but I have a 3 door Ibiza and I am looking to source the passenger side door trims (Front and Rear).

I'll try to go to a Seat dealer when I finally find some time, but if anyone knows where I could get these on mainland UK I would be grateful for any help. It feels like Ive exhausted Google and I'm getting no leads.

Thanks in advance,

topgun.

Hello Topgun & Welcome to the forum.
In response to your question we have a Seat Dealer on here who is based in Northern Ireland (Dave @ Sere Motors). He does better prices that most Dealers.

If you post in the following thread about what you are after i am sure he can help you out, David is a reliable and very well trusted man :)

Clicky Herey

Good luck mate & Hope you stick around.

PS, because they are sent Mail order from Dave @ Sere Motors P+P prices apply which don't always make it cheaper than going down to your local stealers but he can always sort you out with part numbers :)

Wow excellent. Exactly what I wanted. Thanks a lot!

I read about sere motors in this thread but wasn't aware that the guy is on these forums and is so reliable. I'll ask him for more details.

Thanks again.
