Had the EML light comeon a few weeks back, took it to the local garage and they said that the MAF needs replacing. So i bought a new Bosch MAF from VW asked the garage to replace it and reset the error code but now i am getting P0102 and P1136 error.

Can someone help/advice what to do next?

DTC - P-code - Description
16486 - P0102 - Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Low Input
17544 - P1136 - Long Term Fuel Trim Add.Fuel,Bank1 System too Lean

Well, sounds like MAF was only part of the problem, best bet, in all honesty, is get it in to a garage, a SEAT dealer or VW specialist really. No point keep spending money and not fixing the problem.

Thanks for your reply FSiLeonMike.

I thought i would post it here before taking it to the Stealer...

Got the car booked in for new coil packs due to the recall on Friday so may have to ask them to have a look.

Not looking forward to the bill at the end of it.

You'd be surprised, calling dealers "stealers" is sometimes a bit unfair. Most work is set price, and sometimes cheaper than you think.

I recently had my door lock contol motor changed, and with all the parts, labour, and the diagnostic I had to find the problem, £400 including VAT

I think the term stealers is coming from the states imo, I do read some horrendous rip offs concerning some dealers on the tdiclub. People going into the dealer with sticky turbo vanes and then having excessive bills for new turbos aswell as other parts the car just didn't need.

Anyway Kev I think I've read that P1136 being a loose or broken vacuum pipe somehwere around the intake manifold or at least connected to it but not 100%.
The other one could be wiring or just a bad connection, might be worth trying some switch cleaner in the plug for the maf.

"Stealers" - it just came out without thinking about it, sorry to generalise but everytime i have taken my car in to the "D"ealer i used get a big bill.

I did ask the machanic who i took the car into to check for leaks but he could find any.

I will try and clean the MAF plug, i didnt think about that.
