p1639 throttle position sensor

goes into limp mode nw and again, reving on its own up to 3500 rpm when in neutral and clutch out, put clutch in and the revs drop but only to 1500 and when driving do lose power, any of this sound fimiliar? plugged it and came up throttle position sensor p1639???? would this cause a multiple missfire aswell p0300???

yeah i think so,my lcr had a funny five mins with this about10months ago, mine did nearly what yours did, but seemed to clear itself,and never came back touch wood... so will be intresting to see how you get on....

Throttle position sensor was an error that flagged up on my astra coupe. turned out to be a MAF issue! Replaced it all ok - might be different but id thought id mention it incase its similar

i did unplug the maf before wen it was doin it and it didnt make a difference, just worried about it sayin multipul missfire to??
