bought a set of Galfer pads to replace the knackered ones on my LCR, my mechanic at the time told me that the discs have a little lip on them and may need to be replaced the next time round, to which I acknowledged. Now, having had these pads for a few weeks now, I have been driving round and I cannot feel that bite that I would expect to feel.

My question is this. Can someone just tell me they have bought a particular pads and discs set up and swear by it.

Even though I got the pads fitted, the brakes squeek like mad and it is crampin' my style!! know what I mean??

Right now I just want one of you chaps to say, Jay, get yourself this pads and discs set up, your squeek will go and your car will brake really well without fading..

Anyone up to the challenge and can swear by the set-up??

..Oh, and, please dont tell me to do a search, cos when I do it tells someone else to do a search and so on.. ;)

jay do a search lol

this has been talked about nearly more than the wooshy dump valves

choice of brembo disks (max wear is 2mm max) or EBC in plain or grooved.
choice of pads being the well proven and popular ds2500 ferodo's or newcomers for LCR EBC Reds

cheap galfers have'nt worked out for many folks on here.

buy cheap, buy twice comes to mind...

have you bedded the new galfers in? if worn disks this is going to take longer than on new disks. how did you bed them in?
