Panorama sunroof cover slowly closing

Hi all

I use long press on the key fob to fold my mirrors in. With every long press the sunroof cover creeps forward a couple of inches and Within a few weeks it the cover is halfway over the sunroof.

Is there anyway (apart from VCDS) to stop this happening? Just a small issue but it's a little annoying!

Same here. But the time I hold the lock button to get the mirrors tucked in the sunroof cover manages to move only a couple of centimeters.
I personally have just grown a habit of closing the cover, when I start parking. It's second nature by now, that whenever I start parking, my hand goes up to close the cover (and in the summer the whole sunroof). I generally don't like to keep it open, especially during sunny days, when the sun keeps blazing in.

Because I usually open and close it manually every time, I don't have this issue of the cover creeping a few cm's every time I close the doors. Not sure if this can be disabled via VCDS though...

You can change the mirrors to fold in with just the click of the lock button.. (using vcds or I use an obd device and carista app on phone)
This would help your situation if you fold the mirrors every time

Meppershall Beds.
I never noticed the sunroof cover move when holding the fob to fold in mirrors. I have noticed it rattle a bit when FULLY open - move it 6" and it seems to stop.
But had my mirrors changed to fold immediately on locking anyway.....

That's what I need to do..... Single press mirrors fold and doors lock. I always fold them in so having to do long press is such a pain in the arse.

Having them folded also helps me to check quickly when I wake up at 2am wondering if I have locked the car!

Does this work on mk3 Leon? I didn't think you could change things yet using carista?

Reading.....is that local? Would be great if you could.
Unfortunately not pal.. I'm in Doncaster. If you have carista then have a go because it has been updated recently.. if it still doesn't work then contact them and they can send you the update for the latest test version which will work.

Thanks

Now that it can change settings I will certainly look to download it. What OBD devise do you have?

Hi I have 2... of you have an iPhone you require a WiFi adapter and if you have a android phone you need a Bluetooth adapter.

No worries... you do have to pay for the app as well once you have downloaded it.. the possibilities to change with a mk3 fr are limited really as it already hasmost things activated..
Although you can add the needle swipe, change the background of the mfd to a carbon look and add things like a lap timer to the mfd.
You can also put the option.to turn off the drl's into the settings (but don't know why you would want that when they look so good!)

And the cupra also already has needle swipe and lap timer lol.

I just want to sort the mirrors, may switch on the locking chirp and see what other changes it offers. Perhaps go from 3 indicator flashes to 4 .

Same here, it didn't work.
If you change indicator flashes from 3 to 4 or 5 then you have to do a 'reset' of the infotainment system for it to work.
