Hi guys,

Been searching the forums today and couldn't find the answer I'm looking for.

Basically does the panoramic roof option reduce the headroom at all?

From what I have read it just tilts and isn't a sunroof as such, although there is no mention of headroom loss.

The reason I ask is I am quite tall 6'4 and test drove a cupra with no roof perfectly fine but wouldn't want to get the pano roof and loose 2 odd inches of headroom!

Cheers

It lifts only, no slide (which would reduce it)

We had one on the Ibiza we were lent to take to Barcelona, and I can't remember any headroom issues vs my Ibiza

I know this won't help, but i'm just wondering how it would cause you to LOSE headroom?
I thought it would gain a bit more.

Generally sunroof options in cars reduce headroom as the overall height of the car remains the same yet the width of the glass/plastic roof is recessed into the car "losing" space.

Ah cool, sounds like it should be ok :)

Has anyone got an interior pic of the panoramic roof?

I was going to get panoramic roof on mine, but once I heard that it only tilts I thought it was a waste of money and didn't bother! Would be far better if it was tilt and slide - would be worth every penny then!

Well I'm 6ft3 with most of my height being my upper body, I have the panaramic sunroof and I fit in fine so you should!

Not sure if its worth having though, save the money and get Xenons instead!

Cheers for the info. Im pretty confident I'll have enough space :)

The car I am looking at has both pano roof and xenons!

There is a step up after the sunroof, maybe only 2 inches, I can't imagine the non-sunroof models having this.
But saying that there's loads of headroom in there, don't think you'll have any issues.

you lose maybe 1-2" but there is still a lot of headroom so it shouldn't be a problem

It only tilts maybe 2" which is a waste of time, only "good thing" about it is with the internal blind pulled back it lets more light into the cabin (oh and it looks good from the outside)
