Just the back and he reckons its a few hundred quid more for front..I reckon he's got that wrong as the rear are only £126 to buy surely they cant charged £270 to fit?? tempted to just get the car and get another dealer to do all the options..

Depending if you have a FR or std model the rear bumper is a major removal job - this is where all money/time goes. The FR type uses the space within the rear number plate but the std and sport model uses the whole width of the rear bumper, power take off is from the reversing light pwr wire and is fitted behind the LH reat seat bulk head - according to the workshop manual !?!

I will also be adding rear parking sensors to mine, my dealer wants £235 to supply paint and fit which I thought reasonable. Although I do need to check that that will still be the price for SEAT approved ones because he quoted me non-SEAT ones saying that there were none approved for the FR or CUPRA (even after me quoting him the part number from the SEAT website)!!!

Just heard that the dealer is still adamant that the SEAT ones are no good for my Cupra and that he has gone ahead and fitted Laserline ones which are far superior so he says.

Obviously I have to trust what he says!

Anyway, pick the car up Saturday, so can't wait :)

Mine has sensors being fitted as well. Collection on Friday. I will update once I have received the car and take some pics :D

Cuprastu.... man I know how you feel right now. Friday seems FOREVER away!

Yes it is getting to me, but the end is now in sight!

Where you getting yours from out of interest on Friday? I am getting mine from David Cook in Chadderton, Oldham, which I guess is pretty close to you?

Thats where I am getting mine! I collect the grey FR they have ex-demo :D

How did you find their service? I had the best car buying experience in comparison to Ford. The "take the keys and have your own test drive" was very different :)

My dealer called SEAT UK technical re the parking sensors on the new CUPRA and he was told the dealer fit ones will work perfectly with the CUPRA and the new accessory update will reflect that.

Got my new awesome baby today! :D

Sensors are too quiet for me, so going back in tomorrow to get the volume adjusted. I will say that the actual placement is spot on and the colour coding was immaculate. Not as nice as the factory ones but good enough!

Pic to follow...

Why not as nice as the factory ones mate???

I await the pic for the placement.

Here is a snap:

The factory ones are flush with the lower part of the bumper.

Not until morning. It's a gone a wee bit dark here

I will take some better pics of the car tomorrow, charging camera at the mo

Happy with the car so far? I'm picking my FR up from David Cook on Wednesday and can't wait - driving the demo convinced me to put an order in :p

It would appear that the Dealers are fitting them higher than what the Factory is. Cupra2007 had his fitted by the dealer in the same place too.

Anyone know whether they are fitted then painted or are the sprayed up first?

Problem solved for me. They moved the speaker unit to behind the glovebox. Now I can hear them just fine :)

I am also impressed that they dismantled the interior, put it back together without inducing any rattles or squeaks. Unusual for a dealer!

Finally gave in and had the "official" front sensors installed today

They are actually Skoda branded with a little on/off button in the centre console (where the AUX socket would be if I didn't have the IPOD connection).

They seem to work well and are a different tone to the laserline rear sensors :)

Got fed up with having so many near misses when reversing my Leon FR (horrible blind area at back), so I had my local Seat dealer (Stoneacre, Peterborough) fit the Seat parking sensors today. The sensors were mounted in the black number plate area and appear to detect rear & side obstacles equally well. Cost me £252 fitted & I'm well please with them.
