Hi,
Since you have VCDS, please try the following: unlock you car and open the offending door from the inside. At this point you will be able to open the door from the outside also, correct?
If so, go into VCDS and disable the SAFE function on that door. Save, etc.
Afterwards, lock, unlock and see if you can open it from the outside.
If successful, please keep in mind that the 'deadlock' for that door is disabled. This way you could save some money until you replace the lock in the future.
I am having a similar issue with my driver door. Using the key fob does not open it but will open with the key. Also, the auto door locks is no working - you hear it clicking at less than 10mph but never locks the doors.
Anyone suggest a fix?
First thing you should do is to get a VCDS scan done on your car to see if any faults relating to the door locking actuators have been logged.
You have a few options:-Thanks. Excuse my ignore re VCDS but would I need to go to a dealer for this? If so, how much would that roughly cost?
