Passenger wing mirror playing up

my passenger wing mirror isn’t working properly, it folds in and out OK, it moves to the left and up OK but when you try to move it to the right it moves up and when you try to move it down it moves left.
Also when you put the car in reverse the mirror doesn’t move but when you take it out of reverse the mirror moves all the way to the left and all the way up.

Would it be the motor at fault or could it be the control stick?

leather memory seats?

do you leave the wing mirror control knob in set in the drivers mirror position? the passenger mirror moving when exiting reverse will be the auto dipping mirror setting playing up.
otherwise it sounds strange...

yes leather memory seats, ive tryed leaving the knob in drivers position and the passengers position but thats made no difference.

im going to try a new control knob and see what happens
