PCV mod

I'm getting an error on vag com saying 'compensating charge' I changed the diverter valve and still getting the message. Do you reckon a crack in the PCV could be making the engine loose boost? If so will this kit eliminate it and how much does it cost?

Anyone done this mod instead of a catch can? - http://www.vagoc.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?t=6

I take it the mod works on the FR and the Cupra?

So...this mod which cost less than 20 quid & also enough to buy lunch at the same time will fix the PCV problem (common issue) ? one question is, will it be a good idea to have the catch can kit fitted afterwards too, don't know much about the PCV issue but have been reading about it and all the various kits out there.

Def going to buy the pieces from Forge and get it fitted over the weekend, seems rather easy

I think fitting the catch can kit would help with issues and is a better solution. All the cheap mod does is stop the oil vapor and crud going back into the engine. It still runs through the stock unit but doesn't return to the engine. It does say it will stop boost venting though. Its worth a try.
