Anything to watch for when changing out these valves? I have the new OEM spring recirc valve and a complete PCV assembly with gasket as I was seeing a flat spot at approx 5200rpm prior to taking some of the uprated parts off my car. I now understand this flat spot has been seen on several cars...

i have searched the forum and cannot figure out the pcv system. the mushroom top shape on top of crankcase is to catch the fumes, but is there a inlet lower down on crankcase to pump air in.

I recently bought a replacement PCV valve as I suspect mine is faulty but when checking the new valve it seems that air will flow freely on both ports either when in vacuum or under boost, from reading previous posts on another thread this shouldn't be the case. Can anyone clarify?
