i'm guessing blocks arent much different, is it possible to use a 130 - 150 engine upgrade internals etc bigger turbo, put 6 speed box and fmic into the 100pd ibiza?

just thinking for future tuning weather i could drop a better lump into it, would keys need coding and stuff or could i just sway the block and stuff over?

any help is appreciated :)

It is possible to to put a PD 130/150/160 lump in your car plus clutch plus gearbox plus FMIC then rewire it and have a custom map done to try and get everything working together then your need alot better brakes, engine mounts, suspension etc etc plus then you will end up with a car which will be practically impossible to sale as it is a PD100 with a PD 130 etc engine, gearbox, clutch etc in it plus the extra insurance since it is a highly modded car plus i hope you intend to do everthing yourself or the labour bill will come to as much as you PD100 is worth now. Unless you want to blow several thousands of pounds just to prove it can be done just sale your PD100 and get a higher powered car.

its jst a thought for now i only bought the car last week and its brand new,

i just came from a clio 1.2 which i converted to a 172 2.0 with mods running around 200bhp and i had to swap everything on that brakes, suspension, exhuast system etc though i wasted 1000's it was still alot of fun :)

It's been done before, it can be done, but as pointed out, it isn't something you should consider if you want to increase the value of the car on the whole, plus insurance etc..

However, if you do it because of the fun factor, and you enjoy the challenge, then why not I guess :)

I would probably not do this to a brand new car though, as it would massively devalue it, perhaps run this one for a bit, sell it and buy a slightly older one to do this with?

Up to you though ;)

Take a pd100

Not sure what this will cost BUT, fit the following and you have an easy 200hp

PD race injectors inside PD130/150 head, bolted down to pd100 block with pd150 headbolts
PD hybrid turbo, ex Allard or Turbodynamics
big bore downpipe + free flowing exhaust
Air intake mods
FMIC

For reliability it would be worth converting to 6 speed (02M box) but that will involve changing the clutch, flywheel, gearbox, driveshafts, and quite possibly the hubs for the 6 speed. When I did it I also need the 6 speed consoles.

Whats the longevity likely to be asking for 200hp from a stock 100pd bottom end. Thought the 130/150 internals were stronger than the other pd units?

Well, I know a certain east european tuner is running 400+hp through a stock (but balanced) crank (pd130) so I reckon the stock pd100 bottom end is good for 230-240hp as long as you're respectful when driving, sticking to warm up/warm down times + regular oil changes. I would also fit an oil pressure gauge to keep check on things.
