Hi guys n girls im looking at getting one of the above in feb, I was just wondering what are the pros and cons of the 3 above. I want a diesel as im doing about 27k a year at the moment and the little 1.2 is not the most comfortable thing to do it in as its all motorway miles! Fuel economy is very important as my fuel bill is huge at the moment all though im getting normally 400 miles to a tank on the 1.2 what can I expect from the above? What ones the best value for money in peoples opinions? Any comments are much appreciated! ;)

I would imagine with the PD100 you could consistently expect to exceed 50mpg, probably higher.
With the PD 130s you'll probably average 45-50mpg, all depends on A) the type of roads you drive, and B) your driving style.

Both will be much much quicker than the 1.2 though, and can be remapped even furhter without any real economy loss :)

remaps give better fuel economy on the diesels too, so you get more power and more miles per gallon...it pays for itself!!

That's true, but only if you don't change your driving style.
If you take full advantage of the extra power, your MPG will reduce. But still be better than the 1.2 probably!

I was thinking along similar lines before choosing the 100Sport.
Its TDi so has good torque and driveability
Miles better to drive than the 1.2
Very easy to remap if you do want to
Amazing how low the engine revs for the speed it does (2500=80mph)
While breaking in I did around 53mpg (remap & heavy foot is now 46mpg)
Cheap tax & insurance too

Lucky - i'm getting 38mpg at the moment!! Short journeys kill it I guess!

Very driveable, if you want mpg and do motorway miles get the 6 speed 130pd diesel...

FR is higher spec. You get FR badges everywhere. Suspensions a bit different. Get more on the FR basically. But obviously have the same engines. :) My Sport is lovely motorway driving. The day after I got my remap done, i did a trip from North East to Lincoln and got an AVERAGE of 61.6mpg. But i tend to get 40mpg average on stop start journey into work and 52mpg average on motorways.

80 on the 1.2 is about 4000rpm!

how cheap is the tax? is there any difference between the pd100s and the pd130s?

Tax I think is £110 :) Insurance Group 5 too.

Tax on my old scooby was £210 and group 17 insurance. Mpg was 30, only IF I tiptoed around like driving Miss Daisy...

Happy cheap motoring all the way :D

depends on your driving style mate on a fiver if you drive steady you can get 60-65 mile
if oyu drive with your foot planted you will get about 35-40mpg

personally i got the pd130 fr cos its newer looks better and is good on insurance depends really in my opinion also the fr loos bloody good

Just to add the 130 sport is in insurance group 7 whereas the FR is in group 8.

I really like my 130 sport and would definitly recommend it

higest MPG i had from mine was 60.4mpg thats not on a motorway ether :)
altho i was stuck behind a truck doin 40mph for 10 miles :p

think best thing about them is that u have all that torque and power which makes overtaking a cakewalk espeicaly on the motorway

in the pd100 you can easily see 60mpg, although after a remap you wont see that figure at all. Im lucky if I get 50mpg after a remap, although it is colder and I have just been doing short journeys. The PD100 is an excellent car as well though Im sure you wont be disapointed by either
