Hi all.

This may sound a bit of a silly quiestion.

my mate has a pd130 remapped ecu.

Would this work on a pd150 as a straight swap?

Or would it be worth just getting my pd150 remapped?

Many thanks!

I would say it would work but not fully to take account of the extra power, basically it would dumb down the 150 to a 130.

Furthermore a good remap will take account of all the running factors of the engine.

To save any hassle get yours remapped by someone good.

The 130ecu was mapped with a pd150 turbo and injectors that he has.

So it already has been mapped with pd150 spec parts. Surely this would make it run fine?

Correct me if im wrong haha

Cheers!

haha?

Well now that you've added to the question it changes the answer... a bit.

It should run, it might run fine, but running the best it can is a different matter.

As I said a good remap takes into account how THAT engine is running and makes adjustments from that as the base as opposed to a generic remap. It will be a miracle if your engine is running the same as your mates, sticking the 150 turbo and injectors on to a 130 does not make it a 150. Very close but not quite.
