I recently swapped my fuel filter when servicing the car, however tonight as I was topping the washer fluid up I noticed a pool of diesel under the filter housing.
I took it apart, checked the seal was ok and that the filter was ok and they were. Re-fitted everything and now it leaks more than it was?? I noticed the top of the housing wasn't sitting flush with the main body, so I straightened it out and this made it worse still.
All the 5 torx/star screws/bolts are as tight as they'll go but its still leaking, but only at the top right side (roughly 1-2pm on a clock face) and seems to be leaking from the underside of the lip and where the screws/bolts go through the main body housing.
Has anyone had any similar experience with this? I'll get a new filter on Tuesday and see if that makes a difference.
Really frustrating as I was supposed to be driving to London tomorrow.
