I used to have a Fiesta in a similar colour to SEAT's Zenith Grey

I used to wash it once a year, it just didn't look dirty!

New shaped Polos are nice, although still think I'd have a new shape Ibiza instead - more gadgetry for the buck. ;)

Silver is certainly easier to keep clean-looking. My mate at work drives a dark silver 5 series and only washes it about every six months!

Yep Ibiza you do get more for your money but due to residuals work out more on leasing or PCP??? Strange as the Ibiza like the Leon holds its value very well usually only a couple of % behind the Polo and Golf. I think it will be 1.2 TSi SEL as is only £25 more a month than a 1.2 70 SE for better mpg and better spec. Strangely the 1.2 TSi is cheaper per month than the cheaper 1.4 SEL

Silver is the easiest to keep clean have had a black 1 Series and 3 Series and they were :censored: to keep clean and always looked smeary after a good wax!!!

Good luck with your new purchase mate, i'm sure it will be great:) As said i felt interior and refinement was a notch up from the pre facelift :) And revo do a 210bhp map for it also worth considering. White is a cracking colour;)

Thanks fellas. I can't wait, it was an offer I couldn't turn down to be honest. Fair play to Liverpool SEAT :)

Personally speaking a standard PD170 is a faster car than the CR. Was very dissapointed performance wise with the one i test drove, and the same was echoed through the salesman that i'm friendly with. It feels to much like a petrol car missing 2k revs, where as the pd170 gets away with the less revs in standard form by booting you up the a**e with it's torque spike and gear ratios. The CR however was much quieter and interior wise was superior, but personal preference i preffered the pre facelift looks, as i could have chosen either. And decided to buy one of the last PD's.

Different strokes for different folks:)

I agree with your comment on the performance. Feels like the CR doesn't come alive till 4th after 3k revs.

Ok... I have to come clean....

I thought I'd be able to show some hard evidence, I recorded my CR up until 100mph and then played back the same vid of my PD on the same patch of road.

The CR took 14 secs 40-100 and the PD took 13 secs (I know 40-100 is a bit random but it eliminated the variation in starts).

To be fair on the CR though, its only done 4k whereas the PD had done just over 10k from memory.

I'll have another go when Ive done a few miles.

I test drove a CR170 that had 0 miles on the clock still in transport mode, to be honest it felt the same speed as my PD170 but a lot smoother. I really liked the engine. I have more confidence in it for some reason?

Dont get me wrong, the CR is a huge improvement over the PD... Just that until today I thought it was quicker...

Need to transfer my Bluefin over from the last car at some point too.

For what use it is, heres a crummy 40-80 comparison (CR is recorded with iPhone hence quallity)

When I get a few more miles I'll do a fairer comparison..

Can't see yours mate, it is saying it is private, but i have one frm the summer 40-80

Video is a bit s**t but foot was put down about 5.5-6 secs will get better vids with different speeds

Should work now...

Quite a bit quicker in your vid, problem is my stretch of private road is slightly uphill... just handy for comparing my own cars...

Going a bit off-topic, but have you any clips of yours since the de-dpf? That thing must fly!

Still cant get onto it haddock, i will get some vids (on private road) of 3 figure speeds thats when the dpf delete really comes into its own lol, i have come to realise if you have a big enough (private) stretch you can basically put her to the end of the clock

i have had both, PD for 3 years and bought the new CR in september, first thought is it not as quick, the second you get into it it feels less lively, HOWEVER give it time, you need to learn how to drive the car all over agan, the powerband is less punchy but lasts longer, after a few weeks you find its legs and its just as quick, it does not have that surge of power at bottom end the PD does but its a benefit, you can put the power down better rather than spinning it all the time.

as for the refinemnt its a diferent car, the whole car is in a different league compared to the PD.

I have only had my CR since Saturday but the drive feels alot smoother, still running it in obviously but I sense I have lost the surge and punchy'ness of the PD but I reckon its going to be a much more useable car as a result of the spread out power over the rev range. Plus to be fair to the lack of punch on the CR, I havent remapped it yet like the PD so gonna have to wait a month to give a real assesment :)
