Peloquin LSD

Im just away to start fitting my diff this week and dont really fancy using the bolts supplied by peloquin. Will standard VW bolt kit be ok? If so anyone know the part number?

I don't think the VW bolts will fit as the peloquin diff uses bolts and washers (threaded holes in diff) and the VW kit is bolts, washers and nuts.

I could be wrong though, i'll try and find out what was put in mine when it was rebuilt but prob won't be for a couple of weeks as the guy who built it's away at the moment

As Roly says. The 02J diff is threaded for bolts only. Have you got the ARP bolts supplied?

I have the bolts supplied yes. But i have seen a few break, so thought it might be worthing changing

The ARP ones should hopefully be unbreakable. Ive still got to fit my new bolts. There really is nothing else to change to.

I dont honestly know, i bought the diff last feb, when did they change to arp bolts?

Peloquin sent out modified bolts to me in feb 08 after mine let go

Bolts and nuts this time without washers, i'd already had it rebuilt by the time they got here though so didn't use them and looking at them couldn't see how they were meant to fit without a bit of modification to the diff

If they are ARP bolts they should have ARP stamped on them...

As the only uk agent for Peloquins we keep bolts on the shelf. Who did you get your diff through? if it was through us then in feb they will have been the new type bolts, but if you got from elseware then they could be the old type (might of been on the shelf for a wile)

If you could get a pic of the bolt put it up and i will say which ones they are

The diff I just taken delivery of, the bolts have 'ARP PRO' stamped on the head, I assume these are the later type?

Yeah they must be, mine are just blank

ARP bolts are usually FOC from peloquins, but you will have to pay for delivery which if you go straight to peloquins is about £50! Jabba may have the ARP ones in stock, but they may charge for them.
