Hey all thinking of upgrading the interior on my car to leather, I currently have the red sport cloth interior the seats are very comfortable and hold you very well but I don't like the look of them, I was wondering of what people thought on the interior below or even is any of you have it in your car?

Looks like its wearing pretty bad already - I would put the FR leather interior into your car if you can get hold of it or perhaps a custom made one that'd be some job..
Ive been on the look out for a Leather interior for my FR - nice heated seats but seem to be as rare as hens teeth :(

Its wearing because it looks like its never seen any conditioner from new. I have it in my Supercopa with heated seats and it can be nice if its looked after.

My red leather seats are in great nick, apart from drivers bolster that has suffered from abuse by the fat SEAT sales manager that had it as a demo before I brought it.

As said look after it and it should be fine.

I don't have leather seats to judge but I was going by all the ones I have seen for sale - pistonheads ect that are badly bolstered.. I'm sure they'll be good if you looked after them.

These aren't the actaul seats going in my car but they will look like this, I just wanted people's thoughts on them in comparison to the red sport cloth interior

When my dad had a car with leather seats back in the 60/70's, seats got very hot in the summer. Me with schoolboy shorts found it very uncomfortable !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't think we have many hot summers now, so maybe ok now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems to be really rare for leon Mk2s as well

Leather was a £1370 option so not cheap which is why you probably don't see that many around with it fitted.

I've got leather in mine which but I specifically wanted it because it's easier to just wipe clean if you've got kids and stuff gets spilled on them

I had heated leather seats in my old car. Very nice in the winter and Speed-FReek is right about leather being easier to keep clean with kids about.

Bear in mind the seats in the rear aren't heated, so passenger's moan in cold months.

Find the best you can. Mine lasted 4 years before PX'ing without a scratch or mark. I Autoglym'd them twice a year which kept them in great condition.

Do the leather interiors include leather for the door cards?

Had heated leather in my last Passat, I'm among a small group of people that didn't like it.

I don't let my daughter eat in the car, no issues there.

what line of work do they do ?

Truck, bus and train wash machine makers. OD Smith who was owner when I started owned loads of land round the estate. Family sold that field to Redrow where those new builds are.
