My understanding is there is a global supply bottleneck of Diesel and that is going to carry on into 2017 and if Trump does what we expect he is going to ban US Exports https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-says-he-backs-idea-ban-diesel-exports-2026-09-22/ (so that domestic prices can be reduced maybe) of diesel.
All the forward looking markets in my view have no idea where this is all going to end, End User oil companies also have the issue if they buy today at $95 but local price falls dramatically then they face a loss, do they wait to see the price fall.
I should also add that we are going into winter season in Europe so there will be a lot of demand for heating oil as well.
Trump has stated war will be sorted end of midterms, he has a history of getting these dates wrong so who knows.
