removing the clips is interesting, you have to sqeeze them as you remove them if i remember correctly, mine 'clicked' when i sqeezeed them.

Petrol smell

Hi mate,

Recently had a similar problem.

Turned out to be a small pin hole in the petrol fuel filter near to the rear right wheel (under the car). This was caused by salt and road dirt getting stuck underneath the bracket that holds it on, causing the aluminium case of the filter to corrode and degrade over time, eventually wearing a small hole in it.

Have a look under the car and see if you can see a small build up of petrol or a stain.

defo the fuel filter.... big stain on work's car park where I park, right under the fuel filter.....
