Ok the first time I filled up my tank, I did not notice the liters but the guy at the petrol kiosk did it all by himself. I just paid the price. I did not even bother or notice how much went in but all I knew it was 45 liters stated in the prospectus. So I was clicking kilometers and was wondering why the fuel gauge did not even drop a square after I did 320km?!
Later I found out from the forum here and they told me the car can actually hold 45 + 8 liters. I was like huh? Then someone told me about the vent button which is found in the filler hole next to it! And by pressing that would allow more fuel to be pumped in. So I did try myself the following topping up and indeed, without pressing the fuel nozzle triggered and stopped at around 43-45 liters without pressing the vent button, and with it pressed, I managed to get another 7-8 liters in, totaling around 52-52 liters.
Btw, I was also told that when FULL at 52-53 liters inside, the fuel gauge DOESN'T show the real consumption or rather remaining liters. With my experience with a
Ibiza 1.2 TDI without an on board computer, I reckon the full gauge shows 45 liters. And 8 liters not shown, when the tank is fully filled with vent button pressed.
Anyone has the same signs as me?
