just logged on to the wap and cant see how it could have gotton from there. i dont use wap at all and the icon just appeared one day, with a rather peculiar tone as well

Yeah i dont use the WAP either and i think mine just appeared as well?

try deleting your cookies, WAP history, cached WAP pages etc.

It could be a Chat mode/message. Chat messages will come up differently and this will be showing you have a chat session active...? Could try having a look at that

i get /got an odd voice message left on my old phone occasionally.. should have left a 'different' icon , but used to throw up 'random icons instead.. managed to find out who it/they were off in the end by trial and error. (never had an inst. manual with it,.. salvaged it after one of my nephews left it in his pocket and it went thru' a wash cycle... ) good phone all in all tho'

well its not chat and i dont think its email... looked at them today, not sure on email tho.

will just live with it.
it wants me to get a new one anyway cos it keeps switching itself off
