I'm yet to come across Any 501 bulbs that are actually close to white, I'd be interested to see how these turn out

They should work error free if they are normal filament bulbs

I also find that LEDs, even with a built in resistor flicker and blink on more modern cars like ours... U could try non can bus LEDs with pre wired load resistors?? All available on eBay...

I had those PIAA bad boys fitted, they're toilet! Not very bright, didn't fit very well, and only lit up a spot on the sidelight. They only project forwards, unlike most decent LED's off ebay that have LED's on the sides aswell. AVOID!

Fair enough, i dont want to be paying £12 for something so small thats useless..

Anyone recommend any 501s that are white and dont flicker?
