I've got a mk2 golf that i'm fitting an ibiza cupra 20vt engine etc to. I'm goin to run all ibiza electrics and i have the loom in the car but i'm stuck at the last hurdle.
I cannot see how the relay board and fusebox mount, the angles of the bends in the loom have me very confused

I've had a good search through the forum looking for pics to give me a clue, but with not much luck, so i thought i'd put up a grovelling post in the hope someone will take pity and take (post a link to) a photo of the fusebox and relay board mounted in place.

Any advice hints would be very gratefully recieved

Cheers Andy

Do you mean within the engine bay?

there was someone on here, a few years back who carried out the same work iirc, and he may have had a wiring schematic that he posted. I haven't got time to search at the mo sorry, but his name may have been str8balling, or something like that.

Thanks 4 the reply, i've got the loom in the engine bay installed and almost everything sussed out there. The loom on the interior where the loom meets the relay board and fuseboard etc is whats confusing me. I have the loom all plugged up what i need to know is how the fuseboard and relay boards are actually mounted.
I know they must sit in behind the dash in the footwell to the right of the pedal box, but i'm having problems figuring out how they are mounted because of the bends that are in the loom.

I've had a look through Vagcat and although it shows the parts it doesn't show how the parts sit when mounted. I did a search through the forum and found this photo

The pic is very close to what i'm looking for as it shows the relay board mounted, but due to the way the loom is sitting i cant tell how or where the fuseboard mounts, and also where the other connector board is located and how it mounts.

I've had the relay board mounted roughly into the mk2 shell, but how ever i mount it i seem to have the fuseboard sitting in a bad position

If i could get a pic in which the f/board and relay boards are mounted, then i'm hopeful i can make sense of the route for the loom so i can make everything sit correctly
