Picking up my new FRTDI tomorrow, zenith grey, 18s, Winter Pack, Conv pack & BT.

What's best, take it easy or floor it for the first 1000miles?

Th elast thing I want is to see a DPF light on and be accused of driving it too softly!:D

Cheers

Nice one!! I would say be careful with it for the first 1000 miles, just follow what it says in the drivers manual. I am still running mines in, done 1120 miles so far!

i think the official line is to take it reasonably steadily for the first 1000km, however people opinions on this differ greatly.

ps,
did you have to spec a female car, and if so was it a no cost option?

Mine was thrashed from 500 miles. Modern engines are burned in at the factory, the only reason to take it easy is bedding in the brakes and transmission ;)

Do 500 miles (don't granny it but take it steady) then thrash the pants off it. 8k on mine now and it just keeps getting better. Really starting to open!
