Hi all I have a 1.8 20vt cupra leon
which has a tear in a pipe under the inlet manifold
is it possible to bypass these pipes if so is it difficult to do

Cheers nick

What pipes do you mean? Do you mean the pcv (crank case vent) pipes? I cant see why they are needed for the mot?? Lots of people ditch the pcv system and fit a catch tank.

I vent to air, no catch tank ;) That MOT failure, at least it is in the NL.

Oh right I didn't notice you are from the Netherlands. I don't think it's fails mot's in England if you vent to the atmosphere. As far as I know they just check you have a cat fitted and your emissions are below the set limit.

I am not that mechanically minded I am affaird
but the pipe in question is a breather pipe with a lot of t pieces coming off it and I am
thinking of changing them all just not sure what the size of the pipes I would need

I don't know what size they are. Someone one here might know. You can get all the pipes from seat or you could take a pipe off measure the size and order a length and cut to size.
