plastic sounding rattle in boot/hatch

Hi all ! had my 5 door 1.4 sport since sept 09 and no complaints so far but it has recently developed a plasticy sounding rattle in boot/hatch area which i cannot trace. its worse over a bumpy road but its got progressively worse over last week or so. Has anyone else had any experience of this or any clues as to what it could be ? its not loud but its is very annoying !!!

your toolkit for the spare wheel hasnt come loose has it?
check your spare

Yeah sounds like it could be your toolkit, the wheel is screwed down and the toolkit sits inside strapped to the wheel. May have just worked loose.

thanks guys - i will check that one out but im am sure it was tight enough when i was going thru a process of elimination today. I was beginning to think it was the interior tailgate trim that covers the rear wiper motor rattling ?? dont know if i am being over critical trying to take it back to the dealer for such a minor thing but it was not there when i took delivery thats for sure !!

Hate it when you get these mysteries, I had to ride around with the spare for a bit and didn't secure back properly when I put it back. Hope it's something simple.

No way was it me mate, I tripped over Saturday night and head butt me coffee table, split me eyebrow open, spent Sunday sleeping off the 3 and a half hours I spent sitting in hospital the night before. LOL. My car didn't move all day. I think Stu38 is from that area, Go to the spotted section and put in a thread with as much detail as you can, see if anyone owns up.
