Daft question, but im just about to order, how many cans have you used? I just want to do the front chrome grille surround/badge and lower lip.

Cheers,

Jimski

I used 1 can to do the bit behind the number plate and the bottom lip and there wasn't much left in the can. I did put 3 coats on it though so buy two.

The cans are £9 each but delivery is the expensive part so buy two to begin with so postage should be combined

Hi,

Thought about plasti-dipping my front end the same as you have. Looking online though it appears it can come out quite "mottled"/"bumpy" wiould prefer a satin smooth finish personally.

Do you think the pics I've seen are just ill prepped or spraying too thick/close?

It wasnt totally smooth but close enough. Like mentioned above, thin coats and this will get it as smooth as possible.

I no longer have the car any more and have since got a FL Cupra which as the part next to the number plate done in a GLOSS black.

I want to do the lip again but PlastiDip wont do the job this time :( as it will come out satin Black / Grey type colour.

So would have to spray paint / Vinyl it this time. When I can be bothered lol.
