Gents,

So I went to my first car show the other week (don't hate) and its completely inspired me to start changing up a few things with my Ibiza.

Now so far I haven't really done much to it, but I've got a few things in mind that I want to do... nothing crazy like.

She's currently standing like this...

Dropping her on 35mill apex springs later this week, but other than that I think I'm quite happy... however I wouldn't mind an opinion or two on the rear IBIZA badge, whether to remove it or not.

I originally thought that debadging the Ibiza wasn't a good idea... however after carbon wrapping the Seat logo I'm now in two minds!

Feel like a massive bell trying to get 15 posts by the way...

Opinions and advice would be sound though

Cheers Guys!

Hey man your car looks real good and lowering it is the right way to go. How about changing the chrome round the front grill to black/ carbon fibre? Changing the indicator bulbs from Orange to silver would also look good.
I always like the ibiza name badge, so I would leave it, but that's just me.

Yeahhh, I haven't got round to the front grill yet, I ran out of time to take the bumper and what not off.

Didn't think about the indicators though, cheers!

Contemplating wrapping the ibiza in carbon too, but worried that when I go to put it back on it'll be all over the place haha

My FR mods:

* Dip wheels black
* Dip grill black
* Dip white stripe rear bumper black
* Gloss black mirror covers
* Gloss black interior parts (like cupra)

If you find the car getting boring:
* Stage 1 Remap (A must)
* Remove center box (A must)
* Spacer/dumpvalve

How did you get your wheels done? Not sure how the FR alloys would look like in black if I'm honest, do you have a photo?

I've read around that the standard clutch and what not take the stage 1 remap well, would you say the same?

The more expensive FR wheels look great in black. Like he said. Every white car needs Black wheels. Its so much better and with Plastidip its 20 pounds. Look at the picture for the diffuser and wheels.

I've driven around 25.000km with the remap. Never experienced gearbox problems. The FR engine is detuned. There's so much potention! Better fuel economy as well.

I've got FR wheels on my car(its not an FR) and had the powder coated in black look much better. I also debadged the ibiza off the back a couple of weeks ago and it looks a lot better imo

Sweet, Is that plastidip the spray can type of thing? I think I was reading a review/ youtube vid on it the other day and the idea looked really good!

If you're not happy with the results, how easy is it to remove it?

Need a complete set of decent tyres before I remap, so I think I'll give it a little bit before I go ahead and splash a load more :)

Its now lowered by 35mm too :D

Definitely go for black wheels. I had Black alloys on my previous Ibiza that was white and it looked so much better than the FR does with the silver alloys.

Also, I don't understand why people remove the badges on the back, is it just me that thinks it looks worse without the badges? :p

Dropped it with 35mm apex springs, which to be fair so fair seem pretty decent :]

Had a couple of big lads in the back last night though, and it was literally on its plums haha!

Car looks smart pal! .. I picked mine up on Monday - one thing I think changes them is having the spoiler on .. Changes it a lot I think - also what's the ride like in the apex spring looking at getting some myself :)

What lights are you running too? Looking at getting some more white rather than default ones.

Yeahh man, definitely on my to do list... its just prioritising a remap, new set of tyres + alloys/re-spray, then that as well. Done all of the small work for relativity little money, now its onto the bigger stuff!

To be fair its pretty good. Its the first car I've lowered so I don't have anything to compare it too. Sticks to the road nicely, however when I'm travelling with work to one of our factories, the road leading to it is terrible, where I do have to practically crawl into other is does feel like its taking a beat in! But I'm really pleased with both the way they look and feel.

I've got a HID conversion kit in for my headlamps, which looks the dogs!
Also stuck a couple of LED types in for the side lights just so its all matching.
100% worth fitting some LED fogs as well. Otherwise riding around with yellowy fogs with your crisp white headlights looks a bit naff!

Replacing the rear registration lights, interior cabin lights and boot lights with white LEDs are also a good call, makes everything look so crisp

Cool man sounds good! .. Just speed bumps round my ways some are pretty horrendous! Ha

Ohhhh how have you done the HID conversion pal? I have some out of my astra i want to out in .. Have you drilled to caps so you can get the wires through?

Also what bulbs have you used for the fogs, and the number plate lights?

Cheers

Just standard plug and play system. Not much room in the diesel FR engine pay to house the ballasts, so I've gt them cable tied to some dodgey things :p does the job though! Haven't got round to drilling the caps yet though, think it's just a 25mm hole though from memory.

Number plate lights : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111288555348?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Fog lights : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190940689569?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Now the only problem is that those fogs will show an error on your dash, but if prefer having the white light than not...

I'll get some more pics in a bit
