After numerous test-drives of potential new cars, I've decided on a mk3 Ibiza Cupra . As I have decided this, I thought I'd do a bit of digging through people who'll know what they're talking about.Hopefully I will be the proud owner over the next 2 months. As I'm a newbie please be gentle with me over the back to basics questions.
What is the cambelt interval on this model?
Any well-known problems to look out for on test-drive or things which should have been changed?
Any other advice or other things to look out for?

Cambelt every 60k,

Coilpacks, MAF's, are probably the things that are most common.

welcome mate, keep us updated about the car search. I didn't even test drive my Ibiza, I travelled halfway across the country to get her and the drive home was the test drive lol you've made a good choice

Thanks for all the replys and welcomes to the site guys. Drawn to the car for a couple of reasons. IMO it's understated and not in your face and only limit on potential is how deep your pockets are. Have a couple of things planned but will remain understated.........
