Just checked my car and the oil temp sensor is there

You are lucky.

If I were running a proper car, I would have a oil pressure and temperature gauge. They're just such good indicators and early-warning providers for the car.

...aside from knowing when the oil is warm enough to start to punish it ;) As opposed to doing it by the coolant temp...not very reliable.

Forgot about this. Will check block 134 on mine later. Pretty sure mine hasnt got it though - i see the under side of my engine every 3000 miles when doing the oil change and pretty sure mine just has a recess there and no sensor/plug/wire.
