For all of the owners out there, did you receive a physical owners manual? The country you’re in may be useful to note.

Checked all over the car, and nothing to hand. Dealer checked other Terramar’s in stock (mix of new/used) and did not find anything.

I know where to access it online, including the recently updated one, but I do prefer looking at a physical manual for ease of readability.

If you do have one, was it given as is or in a leather pouch etc? The screenshot suggests this is something available at handover to be used as a checklist.

Hi there,

I’m writing to you from Portugal. A few months ago, I had the exact same question as you. If you search on Reddit, you’ll find my post.

In my case, I received a small booklet that wasn’t even the full manual. It came in a small pouch. I asked the same question to Cupra, and they confirmed that’s how their cars are delivered. However, I wasn’t entirely convinced because I suspected my car might have been used by the dealership for an exhibition or something.

Here’s a photo of what I received:

Physical manuals have been a thing of the past for quite some time. You'll generally receive the small booklet but everything contained within the "manual" is now available for download on the infotainment system or online via the dedicated website.

The one I plug on about from time to time are the Erwin pdf manuals - official Vag technical documentation for manuals.

The old days in the UK when you bought a new car you'd pop down to Halfords car store and buy a Haynes manual for all the technical stuff of how to take the car apart, what sort of oil it took etc. The official Vag material is miles better.

The material is designed to be used by independent garages but anybody can pay the 7 Euros an hour and download the relevant stuff. Should take about two hours to download the materiel at a reasonable speed of working. Pretty cost effective. Then you have the official maintenance guide. No need to ask boards should I do this, at that etc.

What's concerning with sold maintenance plans by the Vag group which are insurance based, major / minor is what is not in them over a period. PCP customers will have outed the car before the more esoteric stuff like the DSG, 4 Drive oil comes up. So using the official maintenance manual you get an idea of when you have to ask for the extras. The dealer may not tell you sticking with the plan you bought and missout on something important. If a service centre is doing the car you have that conversation informed by what the official maintenance manual says.
