Pollution Warning Light -Help!

The orange warning light in the shape of an engine and which the book tells me is the -"Diagnosis/Excess of pollution" light has come on and stayed on.

Does anyone know what this means please?

The car is a Leon Cupra 20VT 2001 and apart from this it runs like a dream

Could be anything from the MAF sensor to the Lambda in my experience. Best to find someone with VAG-COM (or download it and buy a cable for yourself) and get the fault codes.

i just had this too was lambda sensor - save yourself some expensive fees and diagnose from vagcom
