polo gti coilovers

my brother has finally given up on his 2001 polo gti because its always breaking! already baggied his 16" bbs off mk3 golf and sub but was thinkin that because the polo and ibiza have the same rear axle will the shox fit on the back and poss the front?

I have spax rsx coilovers on mine and if I remember rightly they have the same part number as the polo ones.

lemme guess? gearbox issues? miss my old gti loads, was a real looker.....if id known the part numbers were the same i would kept the coilovers

RSX546 if I remember rightly but it was along time ago I got them.

sort of well.... yes

crashed it needed new wing bonnet light drive shaft etc but fixed it all himself and vw supplied him with the wrong driveshaft and he dint realise, it put strain on the gearbox an broke it. got new reconned box in then decided to drive through a puddle with k&n typhoon filter on and sucked in water snaped con rod and made a nice hole in the side of the block so hes got new engine in but wants rid........... for a brand new corsa sri

If I were you buddy as you have both the cars why dont you quickly jact them both up on the weekend and try and fit them, worst case they will not fit. Best case you have a set of coillies for next to nothing

Does not take long to fit a strut either

Well I guess you will need to get that re done, but it would need to be redone anyway when you do anything to do with suspension

Not really expensive for fully adjustable coilovers! They are not budget ones like jamex remember they are full height and dampening adjustment. £575 isnt too bad but I only paid £440 for mine.

the lazy git has only just got the rear coilovers off so might try fit them 2 moz think they should fit its exactly the same kit u get for both cars but dont wanna fit back until i get the fronts

yes and still have them on. bit bumpy tho! oh and ive fitted the ibiza cupra shocks onto my girlfriends mk4 polo with polo springs and top caps.
