Our window regulator broke so we got a mobile mechanic round to look at it. he took off the outer panel (the one you normally see) and said that the black inner panel would need replacing (quoted around £80).
He drilled out the rivets which held it to the door and went away to order a new one.
He's now saying that the new panel has been delivered without the pop rivets needed to secure it to the door - is this right? Or should they have been delivered with the panel? The local Seat dealership is saying they don't even appear on the microfiche so they can't order them!
Any idea where we can get hold of them please?
Thanks :)

When i changed the doors on my mk4 golf gti turbo my inner panels were held in with around 12 10mm bolts, can the rivets not be changed for these?

The rivets get drilled out, 4 of them.
The new carrier panel comes with nuts, the bolts are already fixed to the new window mechanism.

Ta, wonder why they changed from bolts?

Don't know probably cost it pissed me off when I worked at skoda having to reseal all the inner Door skins on a car because of water leaks. You would have to drill the pop rivits on all 4 doors it took for ever sometimes.

u CANT use just a normal rivet gun btw, u need to use a lazy tong rivet gun, and be prepared to put some sorta force behind it :)
