well im hopefully going to see a cupra r tomorow in yellow.looks good

its got 55k on the clock,2001 and only got an exhaust on it otherwise its standard.

anything for me to look for when buying it?bad points etc?

also how much is a cupra r worth with 55k on the clock?

Its worth as much as your willing to pay to be honest. With it being onvi yellow i would expect there to be some colour difference in a few of the panels.

Just check for the usual things and make sure it has all the R extra's.

its got all the r extras as far as im aware.and surprising no fading in the pics but ill see tomorow lol.

where are the 'r' guages about?

also how do i check if the turbos away?like smoke?certain noise?

The extra "R" gauges are in front of the gear stick.

Just look for any excess smoke, make sure the headgasket is not gone and make sure it boosts and pulls properly through the gears.

Make sure the paint lacqure (sp) is not peeling as its common on the onvi yellow cars and make sure it doesn't need a paint as the colour can be a b*tch to match

With 55k on the clock beware in the next 10k you will want to have a water pump and cambelt change which can cost a few hundred from a dealer!

It's coming up for the 60k cambelt service, a good bargaining point if it's not been done yet. Probably worth no more than 5500 unless it's in especially good condition.

ah didnt know its the cambelt and waterpump service

so how much would this cost from a main dealer then?

also the driverside wind mirror needs replaced.what kinda money will i be looking at for that?also should i go 2 dumpies?or 2 larges?

is it a GK51 plate?

Every panel a different colour... they all had remedial work

Waterpump - budget £400
Mirrors aren't cheap, depends what's up (wiring or motor etc)

not alot lot less but a fair bit
