Very rare to see a 1.8t engine fail mate, especially if its standard. Head gaskets rarely go but
check for mayo/sludge in the oil filler, coolant cap and dipstick to see if any water is mixing wih oil...
highly unlikely though. Check for clutch slip and stuff.

nah mate thats fine

i thought forums was for peeps who didnt know much about that particular subjuct.

but hey im ment to know everything.

i just want peoples opinions and what the think.

so far only a few people have said what they think its worth so just wanted a few more

thanks anyway

how can you not know about buying a car? you find a car you want think to yourself yes/no its in my price range how does it compare to other cars the same type that are for sale and decide if you think its worth the money or how much you want to spend on it, then view the car and see what condition its in, is it a dog or a nice motor or does it need some bits doing, if it needs bits doin how much is it goin to cost is it still in your price range? is it stil worth it?make an offer and agree a price pay the man drive away!

you have said yourself you like the car and its in your price range even spending on the bits it needs and you said it would be a nice car, your the one thats got to pay for it at the end of the day so if you feel its worth it then buy it. none of us have seen the car, some of us may find things you didnt ect and think itd worth less, we cant tell you what to do.

sorry for the rant but you keep bumping this thread when the convo is well and truely finished is getting boring you have opinions of people and even been offered parts like wing mirrors to fix some of the stuff, all thats left to do is for you to decide what you want.the car would be sold before you decided

wasnt trying to be harsh pal just pull your finger out and buy it if you want it. its nice having a cupra R over a normal cupra with all the extra bits on it, brakes ect, you wont regret it (ive had 2 cupras and now cupra R) other than the extra in insurance.
