I wonder if anyone on here has gone down the route of powder coating the diamond cut 18" Titanium Pack alloy wheels? I have seen some done in black but didn't like them, i think something like gunmetal or grey like the painted sections would look ok. The car is Technic Grey.

I looked for ages on here to see if anyone else had bit the bullet on powder coating the Titanium Pack wheels, i.e. getting rid of the diamond cuts!

I was really nervous but delighted with the results once done! I chose an anthracite grey that was close to the wing mirror colour.

Hope this helps anyone else with this on their mind!

Good decision and colour choice, and the outcome looks good 😎. Powder coating is a much more durable finish than the relatively poor durability of the finish on diamond cut alloys too (the bare metal diamond cut face doesn’t provide a good ‘key’ for the lacquer clear coat to bond to).

No issues with white worm corrosion on powder coated alloys either that is commonplace on diamond cut alloys. What’s not to like 🙂👍.

Thanks totally agree!
Yep after a tyre shop damaged the last good one I had (they have offered to pay for it!) and then another one was leaking air due to a corroded wheel it was time.

Yes the diamond cuts looked nice, but I can't bring myself to refurb them and then have the same problem in 12 months time. Also the powdercoat ones should be easier to look after!

I have the same wheels. Mine are also corroded. What I was thinking is get them painted silver. Then paint the grey inner sections myself then a few coats of lacquer. Wouldn't look as good as the diamond cut but would retain the general look of the wheels.
