hi there ppl finally brought my first cupra

i was just wondering if u cud av alook at the spec and giv me and estimation on wt sort of bhp it shud b pushing thanks

spec as follows

turbo can flow upto 350 bhp, but thats maxing it out.

also depends how much boost your running, what camshafts are they would need a more detailed spec

modded ecu for launch control and anti lag....sure its a standard modded ecu rather than a aftermarket item?


very impressive spec tho, i like the gear set ;)

you have a good spec as it is, does it have the full spec list? as some people claim to have stuff they dont, its happend in the past.

find out what boost your running first
 
its a small turbo, you dont need to increase the bore to 1900cc unless running atleast a gt30

whats prob happend is sometime in the engines life its damaged the cylinder bore, and only way to fix it is by over boring it to a 1900cc

or it just maybe the last owner thought it would reduce lag ?

ye good thing is its all dun redy for a gt30 now in future :)
 
wt sort of mods wud i have to do to change my turbo for a gt30 jst mapping or is there a lot of cash involved?

depends what manifold you running, is it a gt28 eliminator kit? that used a standard ko3 manifold? if so then ul need

injectors
mass air flow housing ul need a s4 one
valves unless you 100% know they have been done
mapping


looking at 1000 for new gt30, 1000 for tubular manifold, 500 for injectors, 500 for mapping, valve's and springs iirc about 600

as you can see its not cheap at all

Just seen on piston heads your car for sale....i saw this on ph before and yes it is a eliminator kit where it uses a k03 manifold and its around 290 bhp ring psi tuning the guy who owned the car who did he turbo is in the army i rung about it for a mate of mine

previous owner said it was a brand new turbo fitted, i rung psi and the chap was ever so nice and he confirmed it was a secand hand turbo they fitted and "i assure you it has no uprated valves or pistons"

they where the words from chap at psi

im sure the guy at psi tuning was called john i spoke to

its surely pushing out mor than 290bhp wid that spec

ive gt the receipts for the rebuild dun in april this year
 
hmm, when i spoke to psi this year it did not have forged pistons nor did it have half that spec claimed, unless its all been fitted very recently, deffo the same car my mate was intrested in, as i myself called up about it and rung psi and they guy was laffing due to the fact he fitted a secand hand turbo to it and the guy claimed on his advert that psi fitted all of what you stated.......

take a pic of the turo for us on back of engine, il see if i can dig out the pics i had sent from previous owner to, it was a eliminator 1 kit when my mate was intrested

ye ok no probs... the rebuild was dun in sa automotives in july sorry not april
the receipt isfrm psi is for a 2nd hand turbo
 
;) knew it was same car, spec seemed good at time, but then when rung about no one had fitted parts to it, its no where near 350 bhp mate its 280-290 psi have they own rollers and run it there.

the eliminator 1 cant flow much

its not a real gt28 rs
