Getting my 3" downpipe decat fitted tuesday. Heatwrapped in titanium insulating mesh. Im paying 290. In the future i might extend to having the rear section done but im worried about noise and the amount of extra performance it will give will be minimal. Question is is it worth having the catback bit 3" or is 2.5" fine?

Seriously considering a powerflow...but I think I would have to have a silencer put on, just seen a vid without a silencer and it sounded pretty loud!..like to keep mine subtle and sweet :) And the price being around 300..cant complain with that :D

That has to be the worst tail pipe ive seen on any car ever. Where they happy to leave it like that!!!!!! its not even straight

Couldn't they have done something to fabricate the old tail onto the end of the new one? That one looks a bit unfinished!

Sports cats seem pritty expensive, but if you go for a decat system what effect does that have on emissions when it comes to MOT time?

Just had a 3" turbo downpipe fitted yesterday. That will fail mot but can easily unbolt it off the turbo and cut the weld with a hacksaw the other end to get it off. Simples. Sounds loud under full throtttle and you can hear the supercharger and turbo more. Still sounds stock normal driving. Even considering removing centre box because its so quiet. Super fast now though

Am I right in thinking sports CAT's have to be type approved now to pass new MOT regulations.

Would have thougt so. With people like milltek though, they will make sure its mot approved. Or just get a decat and slip a garage 50 squid to pass it

You can get a VXR tip but you need to remove the silver plate in the defuser. (where the exhaust comes through).

Guessing this is the Astra VXR tip? Looks sick mate! Defo contemplating a powerflow cat-back
