I've been looking at this over the last few days and had a few quotes if it helps anyone decide which turbo they want.

Firstly the K04-01 and K04 Hybrid:

APR@Awesone GTI K04Hybrid - £2500 incVAT = 245Bhp+ depending on mods

JBS Stage 3 K04 Hybrid - £3700 incVAT = 280BHP+ depending on mods
(discounted as FMIC already fitted)

BackDraft Motorsprt K04-01 - £1300 incVAT = 240bhp+ depending on mods

I also got quote from each for the big turbo 320BHP+ conversions and each quoted approx £4599 all inc.

I hope this helps as i was thinking of a K04 upgrade of some sort but now i think i will keep saving for a while and go for one of the 320BHP+ BTs'

Personally wouldn't go to the trouble and replacing all that for a poxy 300bhp.
I'd be tempted to get the valves and rods done and go for a gt3071r with associated mods for a easy 400bhp.

I got the IHI kit from jbs with fmic , high flow mani , cc 3 , 3" maf , 430cc genisis injectors , fuel pump, vibratech engine mounts, tt air box , and 3" downpipe and decat all fitted for just under 5 grand.( allready had dv and tip )
Well worth it
