Hi,

I have a SEAT IBIZA 1,6 from 1998 (enginetype AEE).
I have had some problems with the door locks. I can lock and unlcok eatch door but the other doors don´t lock/unluck at the same time.
It there anyone that have had this same problem?
I found a drawing for this(i think). see link.
under "Central locking".
but I can´t understand the drawing because power switch (88 and 89) is with 3 wires.
but in reality is with 5 wires. see picture
does this have to do with if you have 2 or 4 doors?
anyone have any ideas on what can be the problem?

thanks alot for your tip!

I got very confused with the information i found on the central locking system because mine was totally electrical. I never thought of that it could be aftermarket. after your tip i found it on ebay. not a bad price either...
=)

this might be useful to you mate,
you wont get them all to lock at the same time like central locking with just that part you linked above... youll need a control module to do it like:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Set-Kit-U...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item25788ecb76
Thatll do what youre after and will do it remotely too... thats presuming you have those electric solenoids on each door?

Edit:
You can also buy a full central locking kit for £30 or so from maplins which has all the solenoids in it if you dont have them on each door

hi

I don´t actually know how it is wired right now since the previus owner must have installed this in the car. but i guess it have some kind of controll unit. i don´t actually know it it is the controll moduel that is broken or the electric solenoids.
that was why i was thinking in replacing the electric solenoids.
I don´t have any remote controll for the car so maybe it is a older system without remote control..

But now I thinking since I anyway have to fix this maybe i should update the system with a remote control.

i was looking at this one in ebay. it has the same electric solenoids so it should be easy to install:

what do you think?

(you need to take away the extra "." in the bigging for this address also)
