I have a question for u all , on my lcr the drivers side caliper has started to peel in places , it looks a mess , but the passenger side is fine not a single mark , I have spoke to 2 dealerships not mentioning names just yet , 1 couldnt even come out and take a look at the car and the other claims without seeing it , its caused by salt off the roads , now surely if this was the case then wouldnt this happen to all brembos .

I have emailed off to brembos to see what advice they can give ?

Has anyone else come across this problem and what was the outcome ..

:( :( :( :(

Have you had your break fluid changed. I have heard if someone spills break fluid on them it can cause a few problems with the paint.

i also let them know that i dont use any chemical wheel cleaner or acid rinse!!!!! They said to me that if the pistons were sticking there would not be an issue with swapping them!! but as its cosmetic theres no way they will change them!! Doesnt the car come with a anti corrosion/paint warranty????????

Crewe dealer replaced one of my Brembo calipers after I had a fight about it with seat warranty dept! other had been replaced by manchester dealer before so in the end seat said " we shouldnt have done first one but as goodwill we'll do second" Crewe dealer reckoned they could spray it, errr no not with decal they cant! I would, had Seat refused, got shirty about paint warranty!!!!

As per my post in the other thread. Both mine were replaced under warranty after a visit from the area customer services manager for him to see them for himself.

Its slack SEAT mechanics when changing the fliud. Mine have peeled up by the nipple. They don't care coz it takes alittle while for it to peel after contact and plus its not there car!

Thats why i hate leaving my car with garages!
