I have had my Seat Leon Fr 2.0TDI for a few weeks now and everytime I reach 60mph + there is a noise coming from the drivers window which seems to be coming from the rubber seal which runs around the glass.

I took the car back to my local dealer today after reporting the fault and they told me that this was a know issue with the Leon. They told me the fault had been repaired which sounded great until I took it out for a spin later and found that the noise is still there.

Just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this problem as now it's been back once I really don't know it if it is worth returning to the dealer a second time as they have clearly not fixed the problem despite assuring me they had.

Perhaps there is an alternative DIY way to fix this?

I had this initially, it seems it was the 'felt' seal along the top of the door not making enough contact against the roof line. At some point between then and now it stopped doing it but I'm not sure exactly when that was...

Nothing to do with the door seal problem (which I haven't noticed as yet) but I too got rid of an 06 Stylance with Sport Pack when I bought my new FR a couple of weeks ago. I did a trade-in deal but got less than £3,000 for it. Did you sell yours privately?

No it was a trade in. Mine was the original 'Sport' model, shortly after I took delivery Seat dropped the model and the most you could get was the Stylance.

I got (I think) around £4500 for mine in May 2013, but it was very low mileage, around 22000 after 7 years! :p

The pre face lift sport suspension was rock hard. Did you find that.

Yes!

I was originally unsure about the getting 18" wheels on the mk3 because people said it made the ride hard, went for it anyway and it's far better than my mk2 was. Not to mention the mk3 feels much better on corners than the mk2, far less sway!
