Problem with on board computer

Hi, I am new to the site, I have just baught a 51 plate ibiza cupra, the on board computer does now work for some reason, is there a quick solution to the problem or any ideas of what i can try??

When you say "the on board computer isn't working" what exactly do you mean? The screen isn't on? You can't move through the menu? or what

not sure where the screen is meant to be? cant flick through any menu tho.

The things that you cycle through are at the top of the climate control / stereo display

The right hand wiper stalk by the steering wheel has a slide switch on that you use to scroll through the different displays of the onboard computer. These displays include current mpg, average mpg, miles of fuel left in tank etc. and will be displayed on the top left of the screen in the centre console.

Ive pressed the slide switch and nothing happens, is there a problem with the stalk or maybe the centre console??

truCido, what surround have you used around the headunit in your pic? The previous owner of my car installed a headunit there and has cut up the original vents but the finish isnt so good, im looking to try and do it better myself

Your problem is that it isn't a cupra headunit. No way around it I'm afraid unless you dish out for a new headunit from the stealers =]

I bough Dave Cash's cupra with the conversion to the stereo done by your good self, but what's the reason the the trip computer to stop working?
