Problem with radio

Hey there,

I have a 2001 1.4 Cordoba and every time I switch off the ignition the radio will switch off as normal but then come back on any time between 2 seconds to 5 minutes after I removed the key. Even if I switch the radio off before removing the key, it still comes on once the key is out.

This has been happening for about a month and a half and inevitably last week it drained the battery and I had to jump start the car a couple of times since.

Today I started removing the fuse for the radio whenever I leave the car but I have to put it back in when I drive for the heater and fan to work.

Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

Thanks

You could pull the fuse out of the back of the radio as a short term measure rather than pulling the fuse from the fusebox and killing the whole circuit. Or, as you'd need to take the radio out to do that, you could just disconnect it and/or not put it back in... ;)
