Problems after 3.5 Hour M40 tailback

Hello,

I've just got home from 17 miles of hell on the M40, it's taken me 3.5 hours. The crawling in 1st seems to have affected my 1000 mile fr tdi. I can't quite work out what's wrong but it doesn't feel right, the clutch is biting fine put when I put the power down something is slipping, also before tonight it always idled at around 800, it know hovers at a 1000. I'm hoping everything will be fine in the morning but I'm not too hopefully.

All in all a **** night.

yeah, probably an ECU reset, and allowing the clutch to cool off will be fine

its idleing at 1000rpm means it is on its cleaning cycle and should return to normal after a good run

Power doesn't seem to be slipping now, when I first started it up, it was idling at 800 again, after a few minutes it was at a 1000, it got a 10 min belt down the M40 (which is the best I can do) and it seems ok now.
I had a grinding noise when I took the power off in second but that seemed to go as it warmed up, when you think something might be wrong, your mind makes you notice everything so it's hard to tell
