Problems starting the Car

Recenlty it seems to get worse.

If the car was parked up for couple of days when trying to start it on a coldish morning it would struggle to turn over properly. Usually two attempts be needed or bit of gas to get it going. Now its getting to every morning even if I only drove it abotu 6 hours earlier

Seem like the battery as it does struggle to turn.

Any suggestion on a good place to get a battery without spending a fortune.

Dont have any sound systems or anything to worry about but also dont want to spend £80 at Halfords.

Looked at Costo and they have some BOSCH batteries for about £50 any just wondering if anyone has any other good sources or makes to suggest

My occasional struggling turn over problem in the cold has been "fixed" since I used Millers Diesel Power Plus fuel additive and took it for a blast.

Whether it returns when I come to refill with fuel, who knows. Only driven 80miles so far on this tank full.

original battery is still in car is now 3 and half years old and 57K on clock

yup could well be due for replacement then, got one you can swap with someone to test?

a good charge up and then a load test may save some money, if youre lucky

might have to try that but seems to one cause when over night as had it parked today all day in car park and it started fine when I got back after 8 hours but seems to be the cold.

Any suggestions on make etc
