Pulling to the left

Hi, my pd130 sport has proven to be very problematic. One of the issues is the car keeps pulling quite sharply to the left, after taking it to have the tracking done it still pulled despite the laser alignment sensors saying it was fine! When my steering is straight if I look at the wheels the right hand side is straight with the left at a bit of an angle.

The ride seems very bad and is more bumpy than my last Ibiza which had coilovers (this is standard) would I be right in thinking the suspension could be shot?

Thanks

When u say pull, does it just veer to the left? as mine does this. Have had tracking done in august made no difference. I have had the car lowered on eibach springs and the ride is extremely uncomfortable but still better than standard, would some decent shocks improve things?

I have been told it has a lot to do with the road camber angle but wasn't sure until i drove to Italy in September. The car veered to the right! on most roads.

With the wheels mine do not look straight at all, but tyres are fine just worn on the inside as bushes were worn and tracking was out for god knows how many months before august.

in conclusion that standard suspension handles well but is crashy, noisy and makes you dread going over a small crack in the road

Check the lower rear bushes and also check the inner wear on the tyres.

Tyre patterns and treads the same at the front?

Check the springs - these snap (check ride height between wheel and wheel arch)

Check brake disc heat is equal on both sides. Could be seized caliper

Thanks for the replies if say it actually pulls, I'f I drive on the wrong side of the road it will still pull left, just not so quickly. I checked my tyres and both fronts are wearing on tie outer and inner edges (pressures are ok) and car has cupra wishbone bushes!

The caliper could be sticking I think now you mention it has the front left always seems to be caked on brake dust before the rest and is harder to remove it was just the visual difference that made me think it could be suspension

I have this exact same problem!!! Only thing I think it could be is camber angle, I'm having it checked next week so I'll let you know what happens :)

This was a frequent problem on the early MK4's. Other than checking for wear in the bushes and replacing where needed I don't think there is a lot to do. :(

Really?! That's shocking surely they should have been recalled? I looked at it today can't see any damage it seems really cambered on the front left wheel. Very tempted to buy coilovers and see if that helps at all

I'm on coilovers and it makes no difference, I'm gunna get the camber checked this Thursday, if it isn't that then I'm stumped, there's nothing else to check on the front end as all the bushes are really new on mine and fitted correctly :/

I don't know what they did but my facelift runs straight as an arrow despite having a dink in the wheel.

There was deffo a design error and I recon they new about it. Came up on Car Buyer review as well if I rem right. That should have recalled all of them as they fixed it with the later cars.

Mine will slowly drift left if you let go of the wheel on a straight road. It still brakes perfectly straight. When it does drift left, it isn't "oh my god" terrible.

Is this what you guys are on about, or is it worse?

Mine has the Cupra wishbone bushes and a recent new ARB too.

I think mines worse than that my past 2 have done it slowly but this one really wants to go left! My front tyres part worns (4mm tread) have gone nearly bald after 4000 miles but saying that the wear seems fairly even. I'm going to get it checked out because it puts me off driving it :(
