Purchasing a Seat Leon FR

Hi, I did exactually the same as you I came from a 116d and went for the Leon FR. The car was very good value for money but you will miss the small touches from the BMW, better materials inside the cabin carpet in the storage areas the bonnet which releases up on its own. I had a number of issues with mine which could have been sorted out easy by the dealer, they were not sorted out until I got in touch with Seat UK. The dealer network really lets this car down and I think it is something they need to sort out. I had a much better experience with BMW and after 11 months of the Leon I switched back.

Thanks all. Getting it this week, just waiting for my V5 logbook back from taking the private reg off the BMW.

So far i cant fault the KIA branch in HULL that im getting it from, i think you get looked after slightly more when you transfer the car in from another branch, as anything that needs doing they just charge back to the other site. E.g. its missing the SAT NAV SD card, so anothers getting ordered, or two of the alloys need repair work - no problem.

Car looks mint, inside and out, drove really nice and no vibrations from anywhere. Probably been a reps car or something for the previous two years with its 35k mileage.

The alloys are being resprayed gloss black, prefer it over the silver.

Should have it by end of this week :)

i appreciate all your comments. Thanks. Its got until May next year with SEAT warranty so not too worried about Evans Halshaws poor reviews lol.

Damien, yes on the test drive it didnt feel as luxurious as the BMW, so i know where your coming from but im sure the extra power will make me soon forget that. Few added extras in the FR that will come in handy too...full parking sensors rather than just the rear, LED lights :D - LOVE the look of these, 4 new pirelli tyres, mine are getting low - oh & no run flats!! lol Cruise control rather than just a speed limiter, Dual climate control (wont get used but its extra). Cant wait to get it :)

Had my FR 184 just under a week, absolutely love it. The drive, power, toys is spot on. Just waiting on an SD card for the Sat Nav from the dealer (had to order one from Germany or something). I'd post a pic but i havent posed 15 times yet lol

What colour did you go for and any optional extras? I'm patiently saving to get an FR so very jealous haha

Apollo blue with Tech pack, suppose that is fairly standard but just glad I didn't have to wait. I hate waiting for something I have the money to buy...

Will put some up when I have enough posts. Absolutely over the moon with this car. Done over 300 miles already, and delighted as hell. Manage 53.8 mpg coming back from Devon. I didn't take a leisurely drive but did not gun it either. Mrs also impressed, she likes to put the boy racers to shame. Think I will update here. Photos to follow soon.

The car has now done over 400 miles. Only problem I have is the ability not to accelerate quickly all the time, really fallen in love with the Seat. Not impressed with a farmer yesterday, flicked s**t on my car. So off to get her cleaned and spruced up again. Second time for a clean since having her. Mpg at the moment not too good but that's down to the driver. Still need a name for her.

Is that ability to accelerate quickly the newness or actual performance? I haven't even ordered my 184 yet and I've already pre-named her Sierra the Seat

Actual performance, she is super quick. I am still amazed at how quick she is, I will have to slow down soon, otherwise I will be receiving one those things in the post that wants to add points to my licence. At the moment all I want to do is drive.

Did you go for tech pack or any extras? I've been looking at the Titanium pack SCs

I just went with Tech pack, don't think I could validate the money for anything else, it's got all I need.

Pretty sure Titanium just adds alloys and side skirts but on a lease it's an extra couple of quid a month that I might as well spend
